Celebrating Innovation & Excellence on National Engineers' Day 2023

Every year on September 15th, India observes Engineers' Day to honor the remarkable contributions of its engineers, marking the birth anniversary of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, a visionary engineer and statesman who played a pivotal role in shaping modern India. This day also commemorates the birth anniversary of Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, the civil engineer who served as the 19th Dewan of Mysore from 1912 to 1918. Sir M. Visvesvaraya, one of India's most celebrated engineers and a visionary statesman, left an indelible mark in multiple fields, including designing the Krishna Raja Sagara Dam, an engineering marvel that continues to provide water for irrigation and drinking to several districts in Karnataka.
